A) Terms of use
1. The provider

2. What the tool does
The ID photo maker (the Tool) takes a photo you upload or take, and creates an image cropped and aligned to the selected size standard, with a uniform background. You can download a printable sheet (for example several photos on a 10×15 cm sheet) and a digital file.
3. Free use
The basic functions of the Tool (upload, alignment, background replacement, download) are free and can be used without registration. Ordering printed photos and a studio photo session are separate, paid services. The general terms of Dobó Fotó apply to them.
4. No guarantee of acceptance
The Tool follows the dimensions and proportions of the selected standard. Only the competent authority decides whether a photo is suitable for a given document. The provider accepts no liability if an authority rejects the photo. The appearance of the person in the photo (lighting, facial expression, head covering, glasses, shadows) is the user's responsibility. If you want to be sure, choose an ID photo session in our studio.
5. Your commitments
- Only upload photos of yourself, or of a person whose consent you have.
- A photo of a person under 16 may only be taken or uploaded by a parent or legal guardian.
- You may not use the Tool for unlawful purposes: for false documents, to deceive others, or to infringe the rights of others.
6. Intellectual property
The Tool, its interface and its code are the property of the provider. You may use the photo you create freely. The provider acquires no rights to it.
7. Limitation of liability
The provider offers the Tool on an “as is” basis. The provider is not liable for any downtime, for errors caused by your browser or device, or for the matters described in section 4 above. This does not affect liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Changes
The provider may change these terms. Changes take effect on the day of publication, with a new version number. Earlier versions can be found on this page.
9. Complaints and legal remedies
You can send your complaint to info@dobofoto.hu. In a consumer dispute you may turn to the conciliation board competent for your place of residence or for the provider's registered office (Debrecen: Hajdú-Bihar County Conciliation Board).
B) Privacy notice
1. Data controller

2. Most important: your photo does not reach us
Creating a free ID photo happens entirely in your own browser, on your own device. Face detection, alignment, background replacement and the print sheet are all done in your browser. We do not upload the photo to our server, we do not store it, and we do not see it. When you close the page, the photo disappears from your device too, unless you have downloaded it.
In this use we do not process any personal data relating to your photo, so we do not ask for your consent either.
Face detection is used only to crop and align the photo. We do not use it to identify anyone, and we do not create any facial profile.
3. If you order printed photos or ask for the photo by e-mail
This option is not available yet. If it starts, the rules below will apply.
In these cases the photo is sent to our server, but only if you give your explicit permission with a separate checkbox before uploading.

We receive the photos over an encrypted connection and store them on a protected server. We do not pass them on to third parties; we do the printing ourselves.
Service providers we use (data processors):
- hosting: Hostinger International Ltd. (Larnaca, Cyprus) – hosting and e-mail services;
- invoicing: Billingo Technologies Zrt. (Budapest, Hungary);
- card payments: SumUp.
4. Cookies and visitor statistics
The website's use of cookies is described in the SütiPajzs cookie policy. The Tool does not give any external service access to your photo. The model files the Tool needs are loaded from our own server.
5. Your rights
You can request information about your data, and you can ask for it to be corrected, deleted or its processing restricted, and you can object to its processing. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Send your request to info@dobofoto.hu; we reply within 30 days at the latest.
You can lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11., www.naih.hu), or go to court.
6. Minors
You may only take or upload a photo of a person under 16 with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
